Having Youtube recommend me one of your videos this year was one of the good things the infamous algorithm got right.

I immediately loved your genuine style in your videos. Then, when I landed on your essay about the multi-passionates, I knew I was home.

It feels like I found a friend I didn't know I have. That kind of friend that when s/he talks we nod all the time in agreement, and feel happy for not being alone with our thoughts, struggles, and passions. I'm a few steps behind, but it's great to know that the path I'm planning to walk is not that strange after wall—your art, writing, and content encourage me to stay on it.

Thanks for sharing your 2022, and have yourself a wonderful and creative 2023!

Here's my little review for you to consider:

"Louise writes to share, to make we think, inspire, and support other terrified and (multi-passionate) creatives out there. As if that's not already enough, she does it from within, in a plain and genuine manner, which makes all of that much more unique and special."

It does get some things right every now and then. 😌

Thank you so much for your words, that means so much to me. 🖤

Thank you so much for talking about your different creative passions! It is helping me allow myself to pursue more than 1 and see how I can incorporate them into a business. I really like the calmness of your videos & the way you allow us into your world. If it is not your world, I like the world you have created for us to be with you. I am excited to hear that you are going to do some coaching & a podcast. I will stay tuned to you.

Hi Louise, lovely newsletter! I agree- I also switched from (an albeit brief minute on) mailchimp and came to Substack and I feel the same way! Best decision. I also would like to primarily focus on what I share here, instead of feeling frazzled and disappointed shouting to a void on Instagram, lol. Your newsletter is always a very welcome and exciting time for my inbox.

Happy holidays & a warm, bright year ahead!

Hi, I signed up right after seeing one of your videos on YouTube and I'm unbelievable happy I did. I still have to get used to reading your posts regularly, but I don't think that will be a problem.

I love how genuine and personal this writing feels, how you share both your highs and lows and how you think and write about stuff. It's nice feeling like I'm not the only one who sees or experiences some things in a particular way, that it's quite common. Thank you for sharing all these things with us.

Consider me a paid subscriber once the option becomes available. As a "multi-passionate creative" myself, your words have deeply moved me since I found you on YouTube a few months ago. Enjoy the rest of your 2022!

You’ve achieved so much to be proud of Louise, that’s really wonderful!

That feeling of not having accomplishing enough that comes with being a multi-creative really resonated with me. I think that’s one of big reasons I tend to feel down around New Years. Doing some reflective journaling sounds like a really good idea to help combat this. Hopefully I’ll find that I got more done than I thought!

I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful holidays and happy New Year!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your art, your writing and your many creative talents with us!

I definitely relate to this as well. As multi-passionate creatives, we put so much pressure on ourselves but we gotta remind ourselves that there's only one of us. :)

Louise, I like the fact you don't use social media platforms and corporate apps. It is high time people will have a full creative freedom and fully own their products.

I also like you talking about artistic struggles and art as a way of life, hobby vs a job, etc. "DIY art therapy" hit home hard, for myself.

Your newsletter has very cozy and Hygge vibes. I'm always looking forward for Friday evening and read it with a nice cup of tea. The topics are very relevant to me (being a creative person forced to work in IT for the money, and I also like charcoal and watercolors a lot), the text is well written and ideas articulated, and the photos you add are great and pass well the atmosphere of the season.

I feel your struggle having to do other work for money. I've tried to flip it this year and feel more gratitude towards having a job that pays my bills so I could experiment with my creativity and see how I could make it my full-time thing. It is not always easy but it has helped.

I have so enjoyed your newsletters over the last 6 months or so. They always encourage me to find my own way. Your view on multi-passionates has helped me so much and I find it hard to settle on one thing for very long. I’m looking forward to learning more from you in the coming year and wish you a very peaceful, book-heavy holidays.

Hi Louise, fantastic newsletter this week - they just keep getting better. I find it interesting that your plans for the next year are very similar to my own (although I have a full-time job as a nuclear scientist that gets in the way!). I am part way into writing my first novel and a third children's illustrated story book (inspired by my granddaughter's love of unicorns) and I have a new series of paintings in the planning stages. I would love to hear more about your novel writing journey. I wish you a merry Christmas and happy new year.

Also, you asked for a review so here goes:

Louise Stigell's newsletter is one of the best I have found and I look forward to receiving my weekly newsletter in my inbox. Beautifully and honestly written, I find them to be insightful and thought-provoking. Many times I have found myself changing direction or at least reviewing my own direction after reading of Louise's personal experiences. I love the number of links that Louise puts into her work and I find myself going back to the newsletter later (I read Louise's writing first!) to click on the links and learn something additional or new. If my own newsletters are half as good as Louise's I will be very happy.

Hello Louise, what a lovely post for the end of the year. Yes consistency pays off and you certainly have achieved a lot in the last year. I started following you sometime earlier this year and I’ve picked up many things from your videos and articles here. I really resonated with your views about competing in the social media. As a natural introvert, I wish I had a way of dealing with any kind of overt promotion of myself. I did set up a Substack but hadn’t thought it through and what I wanted to achieve with it. One of the things I am going to do on the few days I have off during the holiday break is to plan out what I want to do with my artistic endeavours in 2023. I realise as I’m grinding through my job, that was really gives me happiness and joy is the artwork. I know not everyone gets the chance to make a living from there passion, but I would certainly like to ease my reliance on the machine via some artistic projects. I will download your sheet to help with that review. I have a lot of ideas. I would love to experiment with things like podcasts but know my limitations. Wishing you peace and comfort for the coming holidays and into the year ahead. Thanks for the encouragement. Best wishes Tom

Hey Louise, just wanted to say congrats on all of the great stuff you’ve accomplished this year. When I was reading it, it felt like you were describing my year in terms of building a foundation. Substack is home and it’s wonderful. Glad you’re settling in as well. Good idea on the self-reflection questions. I’ll do that today. Here’s to a great upcoming 2023! 👏

Louise I love your letter, it reminds me of how we are all on our own journey. The difference is that we get to read and see yours, your ups and your downs, I want to cheer you on to success. personally I would like to see illustrations with your writings, one great strength is narration too as you have a pleasant sounding voice.it doesn't make me zzzzz.🙂 just don't burn yourself out it dare to be ridiculous at times.

Hi Louise, just wanted to let you know that you have been one of my most inspirational artists in the past months. Thanks to you I started a mailing list on substack, and I'm editing my first YouTube video right now. What I like the most of your newsletter is that I can see you have experience in writing and you speak from heart. I really feel the struggle sometimes and I can feel the same as you. And regarding the podcast, I started to read voice loud my newsletters and edit them as podcasts, both on substack and Spotify. I feel like it make it a little more inclusive (I have some followers and friends with dyslexia). It was a terrible year for me privately and keeping my head busy with both art and artsy related stuff is helping me out. Thank you again, have a look to my substack, maybe you have some tips for me to improve. Wish you a nice end of the year, can't wait to see your progress in 2023. Luigi
